DISTRICT ILLNESS POLICY (attached below). At RMS, we are committed to prevention and wellness and therefore, stress the importance of hand washing, the number one best way of preventing diseases. Parents can do their part at home by reinforcing hand washing instructions. Also, parent cooperation is greatly appreciated in not sending a sick child to school and waiting until the child is fever free for 24 hours. As recommended by the Center for Disease Control, parents should have an emergency preparedness plan in place. It should include names and contact information of adults who could pick up their children in case of illness at school, within one hour of notification.
